Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

In-home doggy daycare and pet sitting refer to pet care services provided within my own home. Dogs stay in a comfortable home environment, rather than a traditional, busier kennel facility.

In-home daycare and sitting offer a more personalized and home-like experience for your dog, with individual attention, a cozy atmosphere, and typically fewer dogs than commercial facilities. It can reduce stress and anxiety for dogs who may not thrive in a kennel environment.

Yes, I do have a limit to the number of dogs I sit. Due to health and safety concerns, I keep no more than 7 animals on my property at a time.

Dogs in my in-home daycare have access to comfortable sleeping areas, indoor and outdoor play spaces, and plenty of toys, gourmet treats, and enrichment activities. I aim to create a home away from home experience for my guests.

I prioritize the safety and well-being of all pets in my care. My home is securely fenced and monitored by cameras and alarms, and I closely supervise all interactions between dogs. I also require proof of vaccinations to ensure a healthy environment for all guests. Sittermate LLC is fully licensed and insured, in strict compliance with the Lawton City Code. With my comprehensive insurance coverage and adherence to local regulations, you can trust me to provide the highest standard of care for your furry family members.  Additionally, prior to the start of services, a "meet and greet" is required.

A "meet and greet" for doggy daycare is an introductory session where pet owners and their dogs have the opportunity to visit the daycare facility, meet everyone, observe interactions and assess behavior, complete an in-take screening including vaccination check, discuss policies and procedures, and familiarize themselves with the environment before committing to enrollment. It serves as an important step in ensuring that the daycare is a good fit for everyone.

I do not have any breed restrictions. However, I do not accept unaltered male dogs due to behavioral and health concerns, risk of unwanted breeding, increased marking and urination, and the change in social dynamics (increased tension/stress among other dogs).

Please refer to the Reservation Denial Policy located here.

Our daily routine includes structured playtime, walks, rest periods, and mealtimes. I tailor the schedule to meet the needs and preferences of each individual dog, ensuring they receive the appropriate amount of exercise, socialization, and rest.

Yes, I welcome dogs with special needs or medical conditions. Please provide me with detailed information about your dog's needs, medications, and any other relevant information so that I can provide appropriate care and accommodations.

I have protocols in place to handle emergencies or medical situations. I maintain contact information for each dog's veterinarian and have a plan for transporting dogs to emergency veterinary care if necessary. I will also notify you immediately in case of any medical concerns.

You should bring your dog's food, medications (if applicable), bedding, and any comfort items from home. Feel free to bring toys or treats to make your dog feel more at ease during their stay.

Yes, I encourage you to schedule a visit to my in-home daycare and pet sitting facility before booking. This will give you the opportunity to see the environment, meet everyone, and ensure that it's the right fit for your dog.

I recommend booking your dog's stay as far in advance as possible, especially during peak seasons or holidays when space may be limited. However, I do my best to accommodate last-minute bookings whenever possible.
